Though deeply rooted in South Indian customs, the couple wanted their wedding to be something unique—something that left a lasting impression on every guest and became a cherished memory for life. Rajasthan, with its palatial architecture, regal hospitality, and larger-than-life wedding experiences, became the perfect canvas for their vision.

After exploring multiple venues across the state, Hyatt Regency Jaipur stood out. It offered a balance of contemporary luxury and architectural grandeur—ideal for hosting multi-day events with over 200 guests flying in from Hyderabad.

A Celebration Across Cultures and Courtyards

From the moment guests stepped into the property, they were welcomed not just with rose petals and tilak, but with thoughtful touches of South Indian hospitality—filter coffee bars, jasmine-infused garlands, and live Carnatic music echoing through sandstone courtyards.

The wedding itinerary was designed to celebrate every tradition and emotion. Here’s how it unfolded:

Day 1: Mehendi + Welcome Lunch – The South Meets the Sands

Set under Jaipur’s soft winter sun, the mehendi afternoon came alive with floral canopies, vibrant green backdrops, and soft shehnai melodies. Ishwarya’s look—a handwoven kanjeevaram drape paired with floral jewelry—was both rooted and refreshing. Akhil’s arrival was equally elegant, dressed in a hand-embroidered Nehru jacket, greeting guests with laughter and coconut water.

Later that evening, a relaxed Sufi night under the stars set the tone for what was to follow—an experience both soulful and celebratory.

Day 2: Haldi + Royal Cocktail Night

The haldi ceremony was a riot of turmeric, laughter, and moments soaked in tradition. Families from both sides gathered in the courtyard, smearing haldi with warmth, blessings, and cheeky grins. The color palette was bright and joyful—mustards, marigolds, and ochre.

As the sun dipped, it was time for the Royal Cocktail Night. Guests arrived in Indo-western glam, welcomed by traditional Rajasthani dancers and a regal bagpiper entry. The ballroom at Hyatt was transformed into a candlelit haven with a live band playing fusion hits. A perfect setting for the couple’s first dance—elegant, effortless, and full of chemistry.

Day 3: The Wedding – Agni, Anklets & Ananta

The wedding mandap was set in an open courtyard, with a backdrop of sandstone arches and cascading mogra strings. The ceremony followed authentic South Indian rituals, including the sacred Kashi Yatra, mangalya dharanam, and saptapadi.

Ishwarya walked in with a temple-style mathapatti and antique gold jewels passed down through generations. Akhil, in his traditional cream veshti and angavastram, looked every bit the dignified groom. The soft beats of the mridangam, the aroma of sandalwood, and the echo of mantras gave the wedding an ethereal rhythm.
